In 2017, Agriforest invested in a brand new Botex 14 tonne timber trailer to undertake an increasing workload of small, difficult sites. The trailer has a two tonne lift, and has an extendable back bolster allowing two bays of three metre produce to be loaded in one go. This means productive amounts of timber can be shifted with ease, from either a woodland setting, or at roadside.

The crane also extends to nearly 7 metres, so is very useful for getting produce out of thinnings, or just awkward settings where maneuverability is limited. The tractor used to pull the trailer is either a 200hp Fendt, or a 160hp Valtra. This allows for some flexibility depending on the demands of the site.

The combination has so far been used on small clear fell & thinnings sites, for one off timber haulage jobs on estates & farms, and for hauling timber to firewood processors.

From just a few large logs needing moved, to several hundred tonnes, the set up really does work. Please do not hesitate to get in touch regardless of how small your requirements may be.
