Small woodland timber harvesting
Small woodlands can often be difficult to manage & maintain. Agriforest can provide solutions for people who wish to maintain there investment, whether it be as part of a private dwelling, or a small estate/farm. Through our many years in the industry, we've often found people who think that smaller scale work is expensive and sometimes ineffective. We would like to assure anybody in this predicament that even the smallest parcels can often still be worth looking after-not least from the part of amenity value to the overall land which the woodland forms a part of. We've ready access to a range of contractors who's speciality is this very type of work.
With the increasing value of hard wood (broadleaves) for use as firewood, small areas of woodland which would have otherwise been uneconomical to work, are now a significant part of Agriforest's work load. Some areas harbour dangerous trees which are within falling distance of buildings, for example, farm steadings. Others have woodland walks through them which can sometimes be a significant liability risk. Agriforest are continuing to undertake a growing number of sites which are excellent examples of dealing with 'problem' woodlands, making them safe, whilst prolonging the life of trees to be retained. Sites have yielded between 25 & 350 tonnes of marketable timber.
